Original racing game created using Unity and Arduino for Samsung VR. Custom controller was programmed with a motion sensor, accelerator, and bluetooth device, operating on portable battery.
VR recreation of an earlier project – a physical CandyLand board game. Using Maya to sculpt the assets from scratch, and Unity to place the assets into the environment and run it in Vive VR headset.
Inspired by Tom Collicott’s photography, this is a virtual recreation of his motel photos. Using Maya to sculpt the assets from scratch, and Unity to walk around in the environment.
In this interactive, scenic VR experience, the player finds himself inside a forest with mushrooms all around, and is taken to experience three different worlds based on color palette, interactive elements, and sound-based subtleties. The purpose of this project is to emphasize the mix between reality and fantasy. This is accomplished by creating unified color spaces with the recurring mushroom motif. Magic Mushroom Forest attempts to provide a space for experience to provoke deep thought within the players’ own perspectives. Lights and saturated colors were also used to highlight the environment and to distinguish between the reality-based and the surreal spaces. These psychedelic spaces intend to provide the player with an escape. As we have learned that VR is profoundly ingrained in escapism, this was a strong concept to use for the final project.
